This is a wonderful bass. It has a narrow neck, but with adequate finger room. I bought it because of my previous experience with a Schecter C-4 Standard and was not disappointed. As soon as you get into MSRP of $500 ish with the Schecter Research instruments, you cannot lose. Hey 0ter, Thanks for the compliment. For the price not a bad way to go. That bass is strung with Elixir Nanoweb .45-.100 with a .125 TW on top. However, i found it to be a little dull as well so I had to find a sweet spot that worked in the midrange freq on the SWR and Eden heads I ran it thru. Also almost always had to boost the high end on the bass a smidge and keep everything else flat on the bass. Hope this helps.

When Peavey was still making the Millium series in the US, I only know of them having the MM/J pickup configuration. It wasnt until the import models started coming out they had just the soap bars. This model is a 00/01 year and I think they stopped making the US models shortly after that. I highly reccomend the MM/J combo in any bass. These older Peaveys are nothing to shake a stick at. I would check ebay for one of these, since they no longer make them new.
